Emily turned 8 months old TODAY!! I can't even believe I have an 8 month old. This happy girl is the light of our lives. She is so much fun!
Sleep: Emily is sleeping 11-12 hours each night in her crib. Around 6.5 months Emily got sick with her first cold, which led to her first ear infection. Of Course this all affected her sleep. Well even after a round of antibiotics and feeling back to 100%, she wasn't sleeping well. She was officially suffering from separation anxiety. She hated going to bed. So, after a week or two of all of us dreading bed time, we decided to try sleep training. At about day 7, she was putting herself to sleep and sleeping 11-12 hours each night.
Eat: Emily is still exclusively breastfed. We are doing a bit of BLW and some purees at the moment. She doesn't seem to like purees - unless she can feed herself. So, we have started bananas and avocados, this week. She seems to like both - but would rather paint her high chair with them. She does, however, really like to eat the 'Happy Baby' teethers and coconut milk creamies. We are still being very cautious about introducing foods because of her allergies.I have introduced soy, nuts, and gluten back into my diet and it seems to be fine with Emily's system. We are hoping to introduce peanut butter, to her, in the next month, eggs at 11 months, and milk at 12 months old.
Play: Emily is all over the place. Loves to roll all over & is trying to crawl - she is so very close. She will pull herself up with the help of mom or dad. Emily still loves to read any & all books. Her and I have dance parties daily. She loves to rock out to the music. Auntie & Uncle loaned us a walker a couple weeks ago and she is becoming a wiz at it. Emily has been making mummbles that sound like "mama."

- When Mommy & Daddy read & sing to her - especially "5 Little Ducks" or "Baby Shark"
- Bath Time with Daddy
- To wave at anyone potentially paying attention to her
- The Aquarium
- Talking to mommy and daddy
- Putting everything in her mouth
- Music
Dislikes:
- Sweet Potatoes
Other updates:
- She went on her third vacation, to Las Vegas {she doesn't like being in the car seat that long}
- Is wearing 3 month (mostly shorts for her skinny waist)- 9 month size clothes
- Still has no teeth
- Is halfway done with her cranial helmet
